This is a full-time, year-round, entry-level position working outdoors with a diverse crew of awesome people. No experience? No problem. We provide paid training, certifications, tools, equipment, and transportation to job sites. You bring the passion — we’ll handle the rest.

🌿 What You’ll Do:

• Clear brush and prep restoration sites


• Install native plants, seed, and erosion control materials


• Steward natural areas through mowing, weeding, and herbicide application


• Participate in prescribed fire applications


• Work on ever-changing tasks in beautiful, rugged landscapes


• 
  

🕒 Work Hours:

• 8–12-hour days, Monday–Friday (with overtime during peak seasons)


• Occasional weekend work during fire season


• Nature sets the schedule — we adapt!

🧭 Travel Perks:

• Occasional overnight trips (WI, IA, IN, MI, etc.)


• Travel, lodging, and meal stipends provided

🎓 Certifications You’ll Earn (We Cover It All!):

• IL Pesticide Operator License


• First Aid/CPR


• Wildland Firefighter (I100/S130/S190)


• OSHA 10-hour

💪 Physical & Environmental Expectations:

• Lift up to 100 lbs occasionally


• Work in hot, cold, wet, windy, muddy, and smoky conditions


• Navigate steep slopes, water bodies, and dynamic terrain
