Real Estate Accountant - Excellent Benefits Package

STORE Capital Advisors, LLC is seeking a Real Estate Accountant to join our team!

How you will contribute to STORE’s mission

The Real Estate Accountant is responsible for the accounting of real estate acquisition and sale transactions and day-to-day processing of company transactions within the accounting system in accordance with the company’s established accounting policies and procedures. This role collaborates regularly with other accounting teams as well as other company departments.

What will make you successful (Qualifications)

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university, with an emphasis in accounting, finance or related field required
• 2+ years of relevant financial accounting experience including industry and/or public accounting experience; real estate experience a plus
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license or in the process of obtaining a CPA license
• Demonstrated and proven success in application of US GAAP. Leasing or real estate industry experience a plus
• Knowledge of internal controls and SOX compliance is preferred
• Strong computer skills, experience with MS Office including advanced Excel knowledge
• Oracle Fusion experience a plus
• Ability to review current processes for improvement, efficiency and automation
• Must be organized, detail oriented, flexible, efficient and take ownership of own work product
• Ability to work under pressure and adhere to strict deadlines
• Exhibit the highest standards of honesty, integrity and professionalism
• Organized with an ability to multi-task and work with limited supervision
• Proven accuracy and attention to details

What most days will include (Primary Duties)

• Review real estate accounting transactions including acquisitions, sales and lease modifications
• Perform purchase price allocations in connection with real estate acquisitions
• Perform lease testing in accordance with US GAAP
• Review settlement statements, lease agreements, purchase and sale agreements and other legal documents to determine appropriate accounting treatment
• Complete journal entries and month end account reconciliations
• Assist and serve as a backup for other department members
• Other related duties and ad hoc analysis as assigned by reporting manager
