Job Description
Summary
We are seeking an experienced Real Estate Attorney with at least six years of transactional real estate experience to support sophisticated clients across a broad range of development projects. The ideal candidate will have significant experience with the acquisition and disposition of undeveloped land and representing homebuilders, master-planned community developers, apartment developers, and other real estate clients. This position offers the opportunity to advise clients throughout the full development lifecycle, from initial land acquisition and financing through development and ultimate disposition.

What You'll Do

  • Represent clients in sophisticated real estate transactions involving residential, multifamily, mixed-use, and commercial development projects.

  • Handle the acquisition and disposition of undeveloped land.

  • Draft, review, negotiate, and advise on purchase and sale agreements and other transactional documents.

  • Represent homebuilders, master-planned community developers, apartment developers, and other real estate clients.

  • Advise clients throughout various stages of the real estate development lifecycle.

  • Support transactions involving land acquisition, financing, project development, and disposition.

  • Conduct and oversee transactional due diligence.

  • Identify and address legal and transactional issues associated with development projects.

  • Coordinate with clients and other parties involved in complex real estate transactions.

  • Manage transactions efficiently from initial negotiations through closing.

  • Provide practical and strategic legal counsel to sophisticated real estate clients.


Experience You'll Need
Required


  • 6+ years of real estate transactional experience.

  • Meaningful experience with acquisitions and dispositions of real property, including undeveloped land.

  • Strong understanding of sophisticated real estate transactions.

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an ABA-accredited law school.

  • Active membership in The Florida Bar.

  • Strong drafting, negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.


Highly Preferred

  • Significant experience representing homebuilders and residential developers.

  • Experience representing master-planned community developers.

  • Experience representing multifamily/apartment developers.

  • Experience with mixed-use and commercial development projects.

  • Experience advising clients throughout the complete development lifecycle.

  • Experience with real estate development financing.

  • Experience taking projects from land acquisition → financing → development → disposition
