Real Estate Counsel / Partner

Searching for an experienced real estate attorney to join our Chicago team, bringing a versatile skill set honed through representing institutional investors in various facets of real estate transactions. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the acquisition, sale, development, financing (as borrower), and leasing of real estate assets across diverse markets and product classes, including office, retail, industrial, senior housing, multi-family, hospitality, and medical properties. This attorney will play a crucial role in supporting one of our top revenue-generating clients, a leading global investment management company.
Key Qualifications:
7-10+ years experience in real estate law
JD from an accredited Law School
Proven experience representing institutional or institutional-grade real estate investors, demonstrating an ability to understand and implement client-specific positions and policies effectively.
Demonstrated capability to independently lead and manage transactions and asset management matters from inception to completion.
A collaborative nature and a dedication to consistently delivering high-quality client service.
Experience in handling acquisitions and dispositions of commercial real estate assets for institutional clients across various markets, including office, retail, industrial, mixed-use, and multi-family properties.
Familiarity with negotiating property management agreements for different types of assets.
Background in real estate finance (borrower side) and senior housing facilities (including independent living, assisted living, and memory care) is advantageous but not mandatory.
