SUMMARY

As the Real Estate Development Project Manager, you'll spearhead retail store relocation projects across the US and Canada. Your responsibilities will encompass every facet: scouting new retail sites, utilize data analysis to determine retail location sites, maintaining constant communication with landlords and property managers, securing local business permits, vetting and overseeing local general contractors, adhering to budget constraints, and ultimately guiding the project alongside internal stakeholders to ensure timely store openings.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Project manage and lead individual multi-disciplined real estate projects from building the requirements, acquisition through construction completion and store opening.
  • Conduct data analysis to identify sites for future retail store locations, using internal/external data and use of judgement.
  • Establishing and project management of all projects tracking, reporting, sourcing, budgeting, and overseeing project delivery activities with each retail location project.
  • Develop clear objectives, deliverables and timelines as required to achieve the project objectives.
  • Interact regularly with all internal business partners in addition to external vendors/contractors to ensure success for both the project and the team.
  • Develops and implements action plans to correct variances. Anticipates and responds to project team’s needs and concerns.
  • Implement continuous improvement and lessons learned to enhance overall process.
  • Oversees the preparation of accurate, timely, and complete reports.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS

  • 3+ years of general construction/real estate development experience.
  • Strong project management experience in developing project plans and proven track record of project management success with retail brick and mortar projects.
  • PC Skills: Expertise in Microsoft Office Tools (Excel, Word, Project, PowerPoint, Visio)
  • Experience managing indirect teams at all levels of the organization.
  • “Self-starter” attitude with the ability to excel in dynamic work environment.
  • Strong communication (listening, oral and written) and facilitation of meetings.
  • Experience with budget management and development proformas.
  • Ability to problem solve, use judgement and find creative solutions in challenging situations.
  • Capability to work effectively on multiple projects with tight deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently and as a team member.
  • Bachelor's degree (BA/BS/Bang/BArch) required from College or University, in a related engineering field (Civil/Mechanical/Electrical), Construction Management, Facilities Management Architecture or related field.

PREFERRED SKILLS

  • Project Management Professional (PMP)
  • Certified Construction Manager (CCM)
