Real Estate Litigation Partner [Book or No Book, NY]

We are looking for a Real Estate Litigation Partner with 12–15+ years of experience to join Sklar Kirsh LLP in New York, NY as a senior litigator specializing in complex real estate disputes. This is a rare and highly specialized role that pairs deep real estate expertise with real litigation firepower. It's ideal for a seasoned attorney ready to step into a more entrepreneurial, relationship-driven environment while doing sophisticated, high-stakes work.

  Serving as first chair on complex real estate litigation matters for NY property owners, developers, REITs, financial institutions, and high-net-worth individuals

  
  


• 
  

  Handling real property, commercial lease, partnership/joint venture, zoning, environmental, condemnation, and hospitality disputes

  
  


• 
  

  Acting as an internal resource and collaborating with the real estate transactional group

  
  


• 
  

  Supervising and mentoring mid-level and junior litigators throughout the full matter lifecycle

  
  


• 
  

  Developing and growing client relationships as part of a collaborative 11-partner firm

  
  

• 
  

  12–15+ years of litigation experience with a strong, dedicated focus on real estate litigation (not transactional)

  
  


• 
  

  Meaningful first chair trial experience — this is non-negotiable

  
  


• 
  

  Active New York Bar admission

  
  


• 
  

  Established client relationships and/or a portable book of business (preferred but not required; $500K+ is a plus)
