Compensation:Base Salary: $50,000–$70,000
On-Target Earnings: $130,000–$180,000+ (uncapped commission; high upside for top performers)
Additional performance beyond quota is paid at accelerated, uncapped commission rates.
Position Overview
The Reality Capture Solutions Specialist is a high-energy, sales-driven professional responsible for expanding RPG Squarefoot Solutions’ Reality Capture Division through aggressive new client acquisition and revenue generation. This role combines consultative technical sales with coordination of field operations, working closely with the Reality Capture Field Technician to ensure seamless delivery of 3D scanning projects and exceptional customer experiences.
The ideal candidate is a motivated hunter, fast learner, and creative problem-solver who thrives on driving results, building relationships, and translating complex technology into real-world business solutions for AEC, construction, and government clients.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Leadership & Revenue Growth
- Drive new business development to meet and exceed quarterly and annual sales goals.
- Manage the full sales cycle for 3D scanning equipment, rentals, training, and project-based services.
- Prospect, qualify, and grow client relationships within AEC, construction, and government sectors.
- Conduct discovery meetings, deliver product demonstrations, and present compelling proposals.
- Partner with Marketing on targeted campaigns, webinars, and industry events.
- Maintain an organized sales pipeline and accurate forecasting through Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM.
Field Coordination & Project Support
- Coordinate schedules, priorities, and deliverables with the Reality Capture Field Technician.
- Support project execution from initial capture planning to final data delivery, ensuring accuracy and client satisfaction.
- Assist with logistics, equipment readiness, and quality checks.
- Stay current on new hardware, software, and industry best practices to ensure field and customer readiness.
- Collaborate with Operations and Service teams to manage calibration, maintenance, and deployment of scanning equipment.
Business Development & Market Expansion
- Identify new markets, verticals, and applications for RPG’s Reality Capture portfolio.
- Build relationships with key vendor partners such as Leica, Matterport, and HP to enhance solution offerings.
- Represent RPG at conferences, trade shows, and client sites to increase market presence.
- Provide feedback to leadership on pricing, product trends, and competitive insights.
Client Relationship Management
- Build long-term client partnerships through consultative, value-based selling.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for key accounts, ensuring responsiveness and exceptional service.
- Cross-sell related hardware, software, and managed services to expand account value.
- Manage post-sale follow-up, training coordination, and customer support to drive satisfaction and referrals.
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, construction management, or a related field.
- 5+ years of successful B2B sales experience, ideally in technology, AEC, or capital equipment.
- Experience coordinating or directing field or technical staff.
- Strong track record as a hunter—building pipeline, closing deals, and exceeding targets.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Highly motivated self-starter with strong organizational and analytical capabilities.
- Ability to learn and articulate complex technology quickly.
- Must be based in or able to work on-site within Maryland and Virginia, with regional travel required.
Preferred
- Knowledge of Leica BLK360/BLK2GO, Matterport Pro3, HP SitePrint, or similar 3D scanning technologies.
- Familiarity with Autodesk, Revit, Cyclone, or CloudWorx software.
- Experience with 3D scanning workflows or field operations.
- Understanding of GSA or government procurement processes.

Year 1 – Sales Accelerator & Field Partner
Develop pipeline strength, close revenue, and coordinate technician workflows.
Year 2 – Market Expansion Leader
Manage larger accounts, support multiple field resources, and contribute to vendor and strategic direction.
Year 3+ – Leadership Track
Eligible for advancement to Reality Capture Sales Manager or Business Unit Director, with responsibility for nationwide strategy, P&L, and team leadership.
