Job Description - Rebuild Technician

We are seeking a skilled Rebuild Technician to join our team. This position is responsible for disassembling, inspecting, repairing, and reassembling complex components such as engines, transmissions, and other mechanical systems to OEM standards. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical knowledge and the ability to diagnose issues, replace worn components, and ensure equipment is restored to proper working condition.
Key Responsibilities

Component Overhaul: Disassemble, clean, inspect, and rebuild engines, transmissions, gearboxes, and drivetrain components.
Inspection & Diagnosis: Use precision measuring tools to identify worn, damaged, or out-of-spec parts.
Assembly: Reassemble components to meet manufacturer specifications and required cleanliness standards.
Testing: Verify functionality and performance of rebuilt components and equipment.
Maintenance: Perform preventative maintenance and assist with repairs on industrial or automotive equipment as needed.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of mechanical systems, hydraulics, and related components.
Tool Proficiency: Experience using hand tools, power tools, and precision measurement instruments.
Troubleshooting: Ability to diagnose mechanical issues and determine root causes of failures.
Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for extended periods, lift heavy components, and work in a shop environment.

Work Environment

Work is primarily performed at a bench rebuilding engines, gearboxes, and hydraulic components.
Additional shop work may be required as needed.
Position may involve working independently or as part of a team.
Opportunities for overtime may be available.
