Job Description - RECA Outreach Benefits Coordinator

Position Summary
The RECA Outreach Benefits Special Coordinator plays a vital role in connecting with communities impacted by nuclear weapons testing and uranium industry work—including uranium miners, millers, core drillers, and ore transporters. This role focuses on outreach, education, and lead generations to help eligible individuals understand RECA benefits. You will also support the Outreach Benefits Advisor in collecting and submitting Authorized Representative (AR) Referral Forms.

Key Responsibilities

Community Outreach: Identify and engage potential RECA claimants through in-person, phone, and virtual outreach.
Education & Advocacy: Explain RECA eligibility, the claims process, and available benefits to individuals and families.
Relationship Building: Build partnerships with community leaders, organizations, and tribal groups to increase awareness.
Event Representation: Represent UEW at outreach events, town halls, and community gatherings.
Presentation Delivery: Share educational materials and provide group or one-on-one sessions with compassion.
CRM Management: Record outreach activities, referrals, and contacts in the company’s CRM.
Support Functions: Assist with event planning, documentation collection, and other tasks supporting outreach efforts.

Compensation and Perks

$250 per Qualified Lead: Earned when completed AR Referral Forms are accepted by an authorized third-party representative.
Travel Expenses Covered: Airfare, rental car/transportation, accommodations, and mileage reimbursement (per UEW policy).
Per Diem: $50/day for meals during approved travel. Hotel stays provided as Qualifications

Experience in sales, outreach, or healthcare engagement (healthcare background preferred).
Proficiency in CRM platforms, Microsoft Office, and related technology.
Experience in marketing, public relations, or event planning is a plus.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Passion for serving communities and driving awareness of government benefits.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

Extended computer and phone use required.
Regular travel for events and community engagement.
Clear communication in English, both verbal and written.
Consistent professionalism, punctuality, and empathy in all interactions.
