Receiving & Inventory Specialist

Description

Manage incoming shipments by verifying contents and maintaining accurate inventory records, with high attention to detail. This hands-on role requires physical activity, including bending, stooping, standing up to 8 hours, and lifting up to 50 lbs. This role ensures all received goods match packing slips and contributes to efficient inventory management for production.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

• Receive and inspect incoming shipments to verify accuracy against packing slips and purchase orders.
• Document and report any discrepancies, damages, or shortages.
• Update inventory records in the system to reflect received goods.
• Organize and store received items properly for easy retrieval.
• Communicate with vendors and internal teams to resolve any receiving issues.
• Perform routine cycle counts and assist with inventory audits.
• Maintain a clean and organized receiving area.
• Operating warehouse equipment may be necessary (e.g., pallet jacks, forklifts).
• Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Experience: 1-2 years in receiving, inventory, or warehouse operations preferred.
• Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work on your feet for extended periods.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in verifying shipments.
• Basic computer skills for inventory tracking and data entry.
• Effective communication and problem-solving skills.

Work Environment:

• Warehouse setting with frequent physical activity.
• Varying temperatures, including extreme heat in the summer months.
