Receiving Attendant

Essential Job Duties:

1. Fills and delivers all storeroom orders on a weekly pick list.
2. Assists with receiving and delivery of all non-stock items.
3. Inspects all deliveries for damage prior to signing of freight bills.
4. Stocks all storeroom shelves by end of day with 98% accuracy.
5. Generates “Return of Goods” entries for items returned to vendors for credit.
6. Ships out all packages for all departments and outreach offices.
7. Makes deliveries and pick-ups to hospital outreach offices and from local vendors.
8. Assists with Inventory cycle counts and physical inventory.
9. Responsible for rotation of dated supplies using first in, first out methodology. Purges all outdated items from the storeroom on a routine basis.
10. Maintains the storeroom in a clean and organized manner, and removes all boxes and trash that is accumulated each day.
11. Picks up hospital mail at the post office, and takes deposits to local banks on a daily basis.
12. On an emergent basis, drives to other hospitals for supplies or pharmaceuticals.
13. Responsible for regular maintenance and repairs on Receiving vehicle.
14. Filing of all packing slips and freight bills, with bi-annual purging of these files.
15. Completes other duties and special projects as assigned.

Secondary Job Duties That May be Reassigned:

1. Assists with the delivery of Printed items.
2. Assists with monthly records pick-ups.
3. Assists with surplus inventory and charitable giveaways.
4. Maintains emergency management supplies, rotates dated stock and inventories on a regular basis.
5. Assists with movement of equipment/supplies outside of the hospital building.

Job Specifications:

• Education: High School Graduate, Valid Driver’s License
• Experience: Knowledge of software applications, proficient in keyboarding, ability to lift 100 pounds. Medical terminology helpful.
