Job Description - Receptionist

LHC Inc. | Construction Office | Full-time

This job fits someone early in their career who’s organized, friendly, and not rattled by a phone that never stops ringing.



What You’ll Do


Front Office Management



  • Greet clients, subcontractors, vendors, and coworkers.

  • Keep the front desk professional, safe, and welcoming.

  • Help visitors get where they need to go without wandering the halls.


Communication Hub



  • Answer, screen, and route high-volume phone calls.

  • Manage incoming and outgoing mail and courier deliveries.

  • Take messages that people can actually understand.


Administrative Support



  • Help project managers and office staff with:

    • Filing and scanning.

    • Manager specific projects

    • Data entry.

    • Setting up meeting rooms.



  • Keep paperwork moving and organized.


Operational Support



  • Order and restock office supplies before we run out of coffee filters.

  • Coordinate with vendors.


What You Bring


Communication



  • Clear, confident, professional.

  • Comfortable talking with field crews, managers, and clients.


Technology



  • Solid with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

  • Comfortable with multi-line phones, printers, and scanners.


Organization



  • Can juggle tasks without dropping the important ones.

  • Handles deadlines without panic.


Experience



  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • 0–2+ years in an office or admin role.

  • Construction experience is a plus, not a deal breaker.


Interpersonal Skills



  • Friendly but firm.

  • Professional without being stiff.

  • You know when to smile and when to get things done.


Work Environment


This is a fast-paced construction office. Plans change. Phones ring. People stop by unannounced. You keep it together and keep things moving. If you like variety and staying busy, you’ll fit right in.
