Job Description - Receptionist

  • Compensation: $15.85 /hr
  • Worksite Location: WSU South

Overview / Job Summary:
We are seeking a friendly and professional Receptionist to join our team at WSU Tech. As the first point of contact for visitors and students, you will play a vital role in creating a welcoming environment while providing administrative support to various departments. Your exceptional multitasking skills and ability to communicate effectively will be key in helping our institution run smoothly.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Greeting visitors, students, and staff with a warm and friendly demeanor.
  • Answering and directing phone calls to the appropriate personnel.
  • Managing appointment scheduling and coordinating meetings.
  • Maintaining reception area cleanliness and organization.
  • Handling incoming and outgoing mail and packages.
  • Assisting with administrative tasks such as data entry and filing.
  • Providing information on academic programs, services, and campus resources.
  • Responding to general inquiries and resolving issues promptly.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and comfortable navigating computer systems.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Professional demeanor and customer service orientation.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
