Our client is looking to hire a Receptionist in the city of South Gate, CA. This is contract to hire opportunity to join our team!
Schedule: Monday- Friday; 8am-4:30pm
Pay: $20-21.00/hour
Summary: We are seeking a professional and organized Receptionist who is also capable of providing administrative support to join our team. As the first point of contact for visitors and callers, you will play a critical role in creating a positive and welcoming impression. In addition to reception duties, you will provide essential administrative support to maintain efficient office operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Reception:
- Greet and assist visitors, clients, and employees with a friendly and welcoming demeanor.
- Answer and direct phone calls, providing information and taking messages as necessary.
- Manage the reception area, ensuring it is clean and presentable at all times.
- Sort and distribute incoming mail, packages, and deliveries.
- Maintain a visitor log and sign-in system for security purposes.
Administrative Support:
- Assist with scheduling appointments, meetings, and conference room bookings.
- Provide administrative support to various departments, including document preparation, data entry, and filing.
- Manage and maintain office supplies and inventory, placing orders as needed.
- Assist with creating and updating documents, reports, and presentations using software such as Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
- Handle occasional office-related tasks, such as photocopying, scanning, and processing expense reports.
- Support the HR Team with timecard entries, entering clients into the system, processing invoices, assist finance & sales team when needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional administrative or secretarial qualifications are a plus.
- Proven experience as a Receptionist or in a similar role with administrative responsibilities.
- Proficiency in using office software and equipment, such as Microsoft Office and basic knowledge of email and scheduling tools.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Take initiative with the tasks given to them.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
