Job Description - Receptionist / Shop Manager

About the Role:

Join the Magic Hat Barber Shop team as a Receptionist / Shop Manager! This exciting role combines customer service and management in a vibrant, community-focused barbershop where creativity and style come to life.

Responsibilities:

Greet and assist clients as they arrive, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere.

Manage appointment scheduling and maintain the shop's calendar efficiently.

Oversee daily operations, ensuring a smooth workflow and high-quality service.

Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues that arise promptly.

Maintain inventory levels and order supplies as needed to support barbers.

Support barbers by managing payments and processing transactions accurately.

Promote shop services and products to enhance customer experience and sales.

Assist in creating a positive team environment through effective communication.

Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent; prior experience in a salon or barbershop is a plus.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for client interaction.

Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Basic knowledge of appointment scheduling software and POS systems.

Friendly demeanor with a passion for customer service and community engagement.

Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.

Experience in team management or supervision is highly desirable.

Must be reliable, punctual, and willing to learn and grow with the team.

Magic Hat Barber Shop was established by celebrity men's groomer and master barber Justin Virgil Gramelspacher. Opened at Carmel City Center in August 2021 and an instant hit with guests, our bright and modern shop is a chill place to be cool and do work.
