Job Description - Receptionist/Customer Service Support


Varney Agency is a family-owned Property & Casualty, Life & Health and Surety insurance provider committed to providing exceptional service and tailored solutions to our clients. We are seeking a motivated and service-oriented Receptionist who can also provide Customer Service Support, to join our growing team in the Dover-Foxcroft office.

Responsibilities:

  • Answering phones & directly calls
  • Processing payments and providing evidence of insurance as needed
  • Accepting mail & deliveries, and distributing/processing accordingly
  • Providing administrative support to agents as needed with endorsements, certificates of insurance, finance quotes & agreements, coverage binders, loss run reports, listing of drivers, following up with claim status, notice of cancellations, overdue activities, etc.

Requirements

  • Proficient computer skills: ability to type 50 wpm, learn agency client systems, familiarity with Microsoft Office products
  • Excellent telephone etiquette, interpersonal skills, strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to sit/stand for extended periods of time
