Reclaiming Screen Specialist- Job Description:

 In this role, you are responsible for the efficient and effective operation of our screen reclamation processes. Your primary objective will be to reclaim screens used in the printing industry, ensuring their proper cleaning and preparation for reuse. Your attention to detail and commitment to quality will be crucial in maintaining the integrity of our screen inventory.

Responsibilities:

1. Screen Reclamation: Execute the complete process of reclaiming screens, including the removal of emulsion, ink, and other residues using appropriate cleaning agents and equipment.
2. Cleaning and Degreasing: Thoroughly clean and degrease screens to ensure the removal of any contaminants that may affect future printing quality.
3. Inspection and Evaluation: Carefully inspect reclaimed screens to identify any defects, damages, or imperfections. Evaluate their suitability for reuse or recommend further repairs or replacements.
4. Documentation: Maintain accurate records of screen inventory, tracking the number of screens reclaimed, their condition, and any additional actions taken, such as repairs or replacements.
5. Equipment Maintenance: Ensure that all equipment and tools used in the reclamation process are properly maintained, cleaned, and calibrated for optimal performance.
6. Process Improvement: Continuously seek opportunities to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the screen reclamation process. Identify and implement best practices, new techniques, or technologies to enhance productivity and quality.
7. Safety and Compliance: Adhere to all safety guidelines and regulations while performing reclamation activities. Maintain a clean and organized work area to minimize hazards and promote a safe working environment.
8. Collaboration: Collaborate with other team members, such as screen printers or production supervisors, to understand their specific requirements and ensure that the reclaimed screens meet their needs.

Requirements

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical or vocational training in screen printing or related field is a plus.
• Previous experience in screen reclamation, screen printing, or a similar role is highly preferred.
• Knowledge of different screen types, mesh counts, and screen-printing processes.
• Familiarity with screen reclamation equipment, such as washout booths, pressure washers, emulsion removers, and drying cabinets.
• Understanding of various cleaning agents, chemicals, and solvents used in the screen reclamation process.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to detect subtle defects or damage on screens.
• Ability to follow instructions, standard operating procedures, and safety guidelines accurately.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills to prioritize workload and meet deadlines.
• Problem-solving mindset with a proactive approach to process improvement.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with colleagues from different departments.
