Compensation: $19.50 /hr
Worksite Location: NCAT Campus
Schedule: M-F 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.
Overview/Job Summary:
The Records Specialist in the Registrar's Office plays a critical role in maintaining student records management processes. The role will ensure the accuracy, confidentiality, and accessibility of student academic records in compliance with academic regulations and institutional policies.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Responsible for the entry, maintenance, and verification of academic records including student attendance, enrollment, grades, and degree completion.
Process transcript requests, enrollment verifications, and degree audits.
Assist with the implementation of systems designed to maintain and retain accurate and secure records.
Provide support for staff regarding records management procedures.
Respond to internal and external inquiries regarding student records while adhering to FERPA regulations.
Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and institutional laws and policies in performance of all duties.
Education:
Associate's Degree in a related field required; or experience in higher education setting.
Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
Preferred Experience & Skills:
Experience in an academic records or registrar's office environment preferred.
Familiarity with student information systems, Banner, preferred.
Additional Requirements:
Exceptional attention to detail; with the ability to perform data entry tasks accurately and efficiently.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working with diverse populations.
Knowledge of FERPA regulations and a solid understanding of confidentiality in handling student records.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Word, Excel, and Outlook.
