Maintains accounting and financial records and reports, including general ledger, financial statements, regulatory and management reports.\n\n## This role in summary\n\nIn this role, you will serve as an operational leader overseeing the Record-to-Report (RTR) function for Global KitchenAid, reporting directly to the RTR Senior Manager, North America. In this capacity, you will play a critical role in safeguarding the integrity of our financial data and ensuring compliance with US GAAP standards. You will drive process excellence and act as the primary bridge between Whirlpool and our offshore service provider (Accenture), transforming our financial reporting through rigorous oversight, continuous improvement, and collaborative leadership.\n\nYou will function as the finance lead responsible for overseeing the Accenture FP\u0026A Trade Investment \u0026 Execution (TIE) team that is servicing US trade allowances across all commercial channels and business units. Additionally, you will oversee internal controls for all promotion-related controls within the TIE workstream. This individual will collaborate with diverse stakeholders to drive company-wide performance. Working directly with global teams, including Global Controlling, Internal Reporting, FP\u0026A, Tax, and Treasury, you will ensure the seamless delivery of monthly and quarterly reporting while continuously identifying opportunities to enhance financial accounting processes. #LI-DD1\n\nThis role is an in-office role, Monday through Friday, located at our Global Headquarters in Benton Harbor, Michingan. A comprehensive relocation package is available for eligible candidates. \n\n## Your responsibilities will include\n\n * Oversight \u0026 Governance:\n\n * Serve as the primary point of contact and oversight lead for the Accenture RTR team for KitchenAid Global. You will monitor Service Level Agreements (SLAs), review journal entries and reconciliations, and ensure strict adherence to Whirlpool\u2019s Global Accounting Policies.\n\n * Month-End Accounting:\n\n * Direct the month-end close for KitchenAid Global. This includes overseeing Accenture\u2019s reporting deliverables, managing complex accounting activities, and representing the accounting function in high-priority strategic projects.\n\n * TIE Support:\n\n * Manage month-end and quarter-end close activities, including Vistex closure and necessary adjustments. Prepare and present monthly reports over P\u0026L and Free Cash Flow. Support internal and external audits by preparing documentation for quarterly reporting.\n\n * Audit Coordination:\n\n * Act as the lead coordinator for internal and external audits. You will manage deliverable lists, facilitate testing, and ensure the timely resolution of all audit inquiries.\n\n * Internal Controls (SOX):\n\n * Maintain a robust internal control environment. Ensure all RTR processes comply with SOX requirements and verify that Accenture-managed controls are operating effectively.\n\n * Process Excellence:\n\n * Drive continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to streamline the close cycle. You will leverage SAP and BPC tools to reduce manual intervention, simplify reporting, and optimize overall cycle times.\n\n * Manage and drive process efficiency\n * Deliver continuous improvements in the financial reporting processes to drive simplification and overall reduction in the processing and cycle time.\n\n * Drive improvements in key financial processes to optimize efficiency. \n\n\n\n\n## Minimum requirements\n\n * Education: Bachelor\u2019s Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field\n\n * Experience: 5+ years of professional experience in accounting or auditing with advanced proficiency in US GAAP\n\n\n\n\n## Preferred skills and experiences\n\n * Global Leadership: Proven ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams across different geographies and time zones.\n\n * Systems: Hands-on experience with SAP and BPC (or similar tools).\n\n * Experience: Previous experience managing outsourced service provider relationships is an advantage.\n\n * Resilience: Ability to adapt and thrive in a fast-paced environment with frequent changes in financial reporting requirements.\n\n * Strategic Mindset: A proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to driving operational efficiency.\n\n\n\n\n## What we offer\n\nGenerous benefits package, Whirlpool employee discount, fitness \u0026 educational reimbursement programs, kitchenettes, and more!
