Weekly Working Hours: 40

Under limited supervision, responsible for collection activities regarding delinquent and charged-off loans. Analyzes defaulted loans to determine the most effective method for financial recovery. Contacts and negotiates with borrowers to set up repayment plans. Prepares, reviews and maintains charge-off reports.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1. Works to collect past-due and charged-off consumer loans. On a daily basis:
2. Collects on delinquent and charged-off installment and revolving loans by contacting borrowers via telephone and sending appropriate correspondence to obtain payment.
3. Locates customer through acceptable skip tracing techniques.
4. Updates and documents account information and records. Identifies, evaluates and resolves reasons for delinquency.
5. Monitors accounts for monthly payments prepares, reviews and maintains charge-off reports.
6. Recommends and prepares accounts for legal action by identifying and locating assets. Acts as a liaison between bank and collection and skip trace agencies.
7. Maintains in-house charge-off files. Orders files from warehouse.
8. Participates in special projects and performs other job-related duties as assigned.
