Job Description - Recovery Housing Manager

About Us:
We are a mission-driven substance use and behavioral health agency committed to supporting individuals in recovery through safe, structured, and supportive housing environments. We are seeking a dynamic and responsible Recovery House Manager for multiple recovery residences who provides leadership, stability, and support to both guests and staff.



Position Summary:
The Recovery House Manager is responsible for the daily logistics of recovery homes, ensuring compliance with agency policies, safety standards, and recovery-oriented best practices. This role supervises staff, manages housing logistics, and maintains an environment that promotes sobriety, personal growth, and mental wellness for individuals with co-occurring substance use and mental health disorders.



Key Responsibilities:



  • Supervise staff.

  • Maintain a safe, clean, and recovery-friendly living environment.

  • Conduct move-in and move-out processes and new guest orientations.

  • Monitor guest compliance and de-escalate conflicts as needed.

  • Maintain and update electronic record systems and logs.

  • Coordinate and manage routine housing maintenance and emergency repairs.

  • Complete regular reports, inventories, and housing documentation.

  • Communicate clearly and effectively with management, staff, and guests.

  • Open and set up new recovery housing locations (as needed).

  • Utilize multiple computer systems for reporting, documentation, and resource coordination.

  • Provide resources and support to guests as appropriate.

  • Ensure emergency protocols are understood and followed by all staff and guests.



Qualifications:



  • Minimum of a High School Diploma or GED required.

  • Previous supervisory experience strongly preferred.

  • Experience working with individuals with co-occurring substance use and mental health disorders.

  • Demonstrated ability to de-escalate conflict and manage crises.

  • Strong computer skills and comfort working with multiple software platforms (Including Excel & Word)

  • Excellent organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to pass a background check and maintain a valid driver’s license.

  • Ability to work flexible hours, including on-call responsibilities when needed.



Preferred Qualifications:



  • Experience in residential programs or recovery housing.

  • Familiarity with Substance Use programs, resources, documentation, and housing standards.

  • CPR/First Aid Certified or willing to obtain.
