Recovery Specialist \n\n In Home Private Care Giver\n\n \n\nGeneral Summary/Responsibilities: \nThe Recovery Specialist functions as the provider of community support services. The Recovery Specialist functions to support and guide community care services by developing and working a recovery plan model, including areas of daily functioning, social integration, and a plan for a task-ordered day. Services are provided in- home to adults diagnosed with severe mental disability. The Recovery Specialist also assists in the planning and development of outcome-effective recovery services. This position maintains an ongoing working knowledge of the recovery model of care and uses that knowledge to coordinate services. As applicable, Specialist responds to all emergencies and provides assurance of overnight security and safety of the home and residents.\n\nFIDRNOCT\n\nQualifications\n\nEducation\n\nMinimum Level of Education Required: High School completion / GED \n \nAdditional requirements: \n\uf0a7 Area of study or major: Healthcare or related field \n\uf0a7 Preferred educational qualifications: Working Knowledge of community agencies and resources essential to the care of clients. \n \n\nLicensure/Certification/Registration\n\nCPR required\n\nExperience\n\nMinimum Level of Experience Required: 1 - 3 years of job-related experience \nPreferred experience: healthcare or related field \nOther experience requirements: behavioral health experience\n\nKnowledge/Skills\n\n\uf0a7 Understanding of safety and infection control \n\uf0a7 Must complete agency competencies. \n\uf0a7 Must be ablet o read, write and follow written instructions and document care given. \n\uf0a7 Must have a sincere interest and sympathetic attitude toward caring for the sick and disabled at home. \n \n
