Recreation Assistant (Full-Time 32 Hours)

Early-Stage Recreation Assistant

The Early Stage Recreation Assistant will be responsible for assisting with our Early Stage Reconnections Program. The Early Stage Recreation Assistant works with the Early Stage Program Coordinator and the Director of Early Stage Programs to assist in the planning and implementation of the Reconnections program. The Early Stage Recreation Assistant report directly to the Director of Early Stage Programs.

This position is full-time at 32 hours, working a schedule of Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Fridays.

Education

• High school diploma or GED equivalent is required.


• Bachelor's Degree in Recreation, Music, Art, or Speech Therapy (or related field), or equivalent work experience is preferred.
  

Experience

• Minimum 1 year of experience working with individuals with dementia.
  


• Strong communication, organizational, and decision-making skills.


• Must be able to assist in facilitating a wide variety of programs including but not limited to: music, art, cognitive, social and physical activities.


• Experience using Microsoft Office Suite, email, virtual meeting platforms, and ability utilize the internet.
