Recreation Coordinator Limelight

Job Overview:

Perform functions required to provide high quality productions and programming for the Limelight Theatre Company including recruitment and training of staff, development of classes/programming, and artistic direction for season selection and management.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Responsibilities include the development and management of high quality theatrical productions and theater classes/programs, and other duties and projects


• Prioritize, plan, coordinate, implement, supervise, budget, and evaluate a varied and strategic offering of performance and educational opportunities throughout the year for youth, teen, and adult participants


• Research and initiate new programming


• Manage personnel administration


• Maximize the effective use of facilities for programs and activities


• Contribute to the development of marketing plans for productions and programs through website management, social media, and onsite marketing


• Effectively communicate with staff, volunteers, and community partners


• Maintain relationships with school district, insuring respect for the district’s staff, equipment, and facilities.


• Organization of space, equipment, and supplies to provide tools for successful productions


• Provide resources and assistance for other district events


• Perform other duties as assigned

Education, Experience, & Training:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Recreation, Theater, related field or equivalent experience


• Experience in producing theatrical productions

Hours:

15-20 hours per week, varies, some weekends and evenings required; More hours and availability needed mid-May through July

Rate:

$18-$21/hour
