Recreation Specialist

• Establish positive relationships with children in care by applying TCI and CARE
  
• Assist with designing and implementing recreation activities.
  
• Create and monitor individual recreation goals for each child and report on the progress of the goal during treatment team meetings and staff meetings.
  
• Work collaboratively with colleagues in other departments to develop a comprehensive recreation plan to provide a positive learning environment for the children in our care.
  
• Provide safe and responsible transports for youth and families as required by program
  
• Complete required reports and documentation on time meeting all standards of content and professional presentation.
  
• Provide for the recreational needs and leisure time activities for children in care by planning and supervising activities both within and away from the unit setting.
  

Requirements

• High School Diploma 
  
• Bachelor's Degree with educational focus preferred
  

• 1 year experience working with youth 
  
• ​Driver's license and ability to maintain insurance throughout employment .
