Job Description - Recruiting Administrative Coordinator

Description

At Leonard's Express, Inc. we are standing up a new position on our Driver Recruiting Team. We are in need of a Recruiting Administrative Coordinator who wants to help us improve our engagement with potential and current employees. We are offering:

  • Salary from $20 - $21 an hour based on experience
  • Full-time, 40 hours per week

The essential duties and responsibilities of the position include:

  • Sends welcome letters to all new recruits at the direction of the recruiting team
  • Creates or reactivates on-line training profiles for all drivers and forwards login info to the driver
  • Schedules drug screens and DOT physicals for new drivers as needed
  • Completes FMCSA Clearinghouse inquiries for all new drivers
  • Reserves and forwards all travel arrangements to new drivers
  • Makes hotel reservations for all new drivers
  • Ensures local transportation is setup via the Uber corporate account or taxi services for new drivers
  • Follows guidance to create unique driver codes for the recruiting team
  • Makes regular updates to the orientation SharePoint site to track new driver status
  • Contacts new drivers regularly to build relationships and confirm orientation details
  • Cross trains with recruiters on hiring guidelines, recruiting and hiring processes and procedures
  • Acts as a supporting recruiter during recruiters’ PTO or peak recruiting times
  • Completes other assignments as required by the Recruiting Director or Recruiting Team Lead

Requirements

The professional skills and abilities an ideal candidate should possess include:

  • Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing, to a diverse audience
  • Attention to detail shown through complete and accurate work
  • Ability to work well with all levels of staff
  • Effectively prioritize responsibilities, meet assigned deadlines
  • Ability to work independently on assigned tasks, as well as to accept direction on given assignments

Based on the technical and professional responsibilities of the position, the Recruiting Administrative Coordinator is required to have:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, with an emphasis on MS Word and MS Excel
  • 1-2 year’s relevant experience of the logistics or transportation industry is preferred

The Recruiting Administrative Coordinator is primarily located in a climate-controlled office environment with moderate noise levels but may experience other physical environments while traveling. Physical requirements include:

  • Using computer hardware and software for extended periods of time (repetitive motion)
  • Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally
  • Must be able to travel occasionally for networking events
