Job Summary:
Alma Tire Company is seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Recruitment Coordinator to join our team. This role will support the HR department in fostering a positive workplace culture by managing the end-to-end hiring process. The ideal candidate will be a proactive problem-solver with a passion for supporting both employees and company goals in a fast-paced, hands-on work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Recruitment & Onboarding:
Assist with sourcing, screening, and interviewing candidates for roles across our corporate office and tire service centers.
Support onboarding processes by preparing offer letters, conducting background checks, and ensuring all pre-employment requirements are completed.
Organize and conduct new hire orientations, ensuring seamless onboarding tailored to both office and shop environments.
Help organize and participate in job fairs, career events, and employer branding initiatives.
Ensure a positive candidate experience throughout the hiring process.
Employee Relations:
Serve as a resource for employees and managers, addressing concerns and promoting open communication.
Support conflict resolution efforts and provide guidance on company policies and procedures.
Benefits & Compensation:
Administer company benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and employee discounts.
Assist employees with benefit-related inquiries and support annual open enrollment processes.
Compliance:
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and company policies.
Maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation
Training & Development:
Coordinate training programs for both professional development and operational excellence, including safety training for tire technicians.
Support performance review processes and goal-setting initiatives.
HR Administration:
Prepare HR reports, track key metrics (like turnover rates and training completion), and support payroll processing by verifying employee data.
Qualifications:
2+ years of HR experience, preferably in a manufacturing, automotive, or service industry setting.
Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.
Proficiency in HRIS software (Paylocity a plus) and Microsoft Office Suite.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels.
