Job Description - Recruiting Coordinator

Summary/Objective


The Recruiting Coordinator position is responsible for three primary functions: recruiting, scheduling, and interviewing for BMW based on order specifications. Recruiting Coordinators are tasked with working closely with Staffing Specialists to ensure they are matching quality candidates with job openings. This position is also a supporting role for administrative tasks such as receptionist duties at client location and branch location.



Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:


This is a full-time temporary position, with typical work hours being Monday-Thursday, 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m and Friday 8:00am-5:00pm. Periodic nights and weekends may be required as needed.



Essential Functions



  • Complete a number of human resources tasks for their organization, mainly related to recruiting, interviewing, and hiring new employees.

  • Conduct candidate screening and set appointments as needed, as well as resolve applicant inquiries related to open positions.

  • Provide orientation information and other data to new employees; they also file a variety of background checks, in addition to education and drug-related testing (which may be required depending on the organization or position).

  • Manage recruitment communications, providing accurate information about vacancies, coordinating orientation training activities, designing effective strategies for improved logistics, and attending organizational meetings. 

  • Provide overall administrative support to the employment/recruitment area, including maintaining, processing documentation and records.

  • Maintain applicant flow through placement of ads, development of recruiting sources, and analysis of weekly and monthly recruiting source reports.

  • Regularly review work orders and interact with Staffing Specialists and Staffing Supervisors to ensure staffing goals are met.

  • Interview candidates for all transactional and project accounts.

  • Recruit qualified candidates through online sourcing portals such as the MAU website, Indeed, Craigslist, etc.

  • Follow up calls from interviews completed online, scheduling physical assessments, client interviews and assisting with orientations.

Required Education and Experience



  • 1-3 years of professional work experience

  • Experience working with general public

  • High degree of professionalism

  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite



Preferred Education and Experience



  • Staffing industry, manufacturing HR or production supervisor experience a plus

  • HR certifications or staffing certifications are a plus

  • Experience working with an HRIS

  • 2 year degree/Associates degree


 


Supervisory Responsibility


There are no direct supervisory responsibilities.  The highest performers will be team players who are well-versed in mentoring.

Work Environment or Working Conditions 


This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. 


 


Physical Demands 


This position may require the following to be performed with or without reasonable accommodation:

  • Ability to sit for up to 8 hours 



  • Ability to lift 5- 20lbs periodically and 50lbs on occasion
