Position Summary
Vertex Innovations is seeking an experienced Recruitment Coordinator to be the operational backbone of our recruiting efforts to support hiring needs due to rapid growth across our Data Center, Wireless, and Mission Critical Infrastructure services. This role serves as the primary point of contact for candidates and hiring teams, ensuring a positive candidate experience and an efficient, organized, and compliant hiring process. This position blends talent acquisition, recruiting operations, and vendor coordination, requiring a highly organized professional who thrives in a fast-paced services environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide coordination and administrative support across the full recruiting lifecycle for open positions, including but not limited to:
- Data Center (QA/QC, Commissioning, Engineering, PMs, Technicians)
- Wireless Infrastructure
- Mission Critical & Critical Facilities roles
- Internal support or administrative roles
- Partner with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and draft initial job descriptions for review and approval using Scope of Work and AI assistance tools
- Format and post approved jobs in the Applicant Tracking System (ATS)
- Maintain accurate candidate records and job postings within the ATS or other tracking systems
- Serve as the coordination point for Vertex-contracted recruiting firms, distributing open positions and tracking candidate submittals, always keeping hiring managers informed
- Review incoming resumes and applications against established job criteria and route qualified candidates to hiring managers for approval to schedule an initial phone screen
- Conduct basic initial candidate phone screens and advance candidates who meet defined criteria to technical interviews with hiring teams
- Schedule interviews and manage communication between candidates and interviewers
- Support onboarding handoff to HR, ensuring a seamless transition for new hires
- Help ensure all hiring activities follow Vertex standards, culture, and compliance requirements
- Promote a positive candidate experience throughout the hiring process
- Identify opportunities to streamline and improve recruiting workflows and administrative processes
- Additional duties as assigned
Qualifications
- High school diploma
- 2+ years of experience in recruiting, HR support, or coordination
- Solid understanding of standard full-time (W-2) hiring processes and recruiting workflows
- Exceptional organizational skills, time management, and attention to detail
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
- Ability to work independently and prioritize across multiple open requisitions and competing deadlines
- Proficiency with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), Smartsheet, and Microsoft Office
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Visa sponsorship is not available.
Preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field
- Experience supporting high-volume or technical recruiting environments
- Familiarity with:
- Data Center, Construction/Infrastructure, Mission Critical or Industrial Services
- QA/QC and Commissioning roles
- Electrical, Mechanical, and Critical Facilities positions
- Comfortable working directly with senior leadership and technical SMEs
Compensation and Benefits
Hourly Range: $28.85 - $36.05
