Red Iron Worker/Installer

Job Title: Red Iron Worker
Location: Traveling (based out of Tulsa, OK)
Pay: $25–$28/hour
Shift: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–5:00 PM (some Saturdays as needed)
Job Type: Temp to Hire

Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Red Iron Worker to join our traveling crew for the installation of new steel buildings. This role involves erecting and securing structural steel components, reading and interpreting blueprints, and working in elevated environments. The ideal candidate will be a dependable team player with solid experience in structural steelwork and a willingness to travel to various job sites.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install and secure red iron steel components for new commercial or industrial building structures
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and job specifications
• Use rigging equipment, cranes, and hand tools to position and install steel beams
• Perform bolting, welding, and fastening of structural steel elements
• Ensure proper alignment, fit, and structural integrity of steel frameworks
• Follow OSHA regulations and company safety protocols while working at heights
• Travel to job sites with the mobile crew, sometimes for extended periods
• Collaborate with project foremen, engineers, and other trades to meet deadlines

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Red Iron Worker or Structural Steel Installer
• Comfortable working at heights and in various outdoor conditions
• Skilled in welding, bolting, rigging, and using layout tools
• Familiarity with construction safety standards and best practices
• Physically capable of lifting and maneuvering heavy steel components
• Willingness to travel frequently for on-site projects
• Welding or rigging certification preferred but not required
