Referral Coordinator

Description

• Liaison Role: Serve as the primary contact between Denova staff and patients, fostering productive and collaborative relationships aligned with the agency’s goals and core values.
• Voicemail Management: Check voicemails every two hours and ensure callbacks are completed within 48 hours.
• Referral Coordination: Initiate referrals to specialists within 48 hours of receiving a request from a medical provider.
• Documentation: Attach all scanning to the patient’s chart within 72 hours. Document every patient interaction in the appropriate Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system within 24 hours.
• Insurance Verification: Maintain consistent communication with patients and clinic staff about updates, changes, and verified coverage.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Experience: A minimum of one year of customer service experience is desired. A general understanding of insurance plans and products is beneficial.
• Education: High School diploma or equivalent. Additional education or relevant work experience is valued.
• Certifications and Compliance: Required to have Arizona Fingerprint Clearance. Adherence to HIPAA regulations is essential. 
• Skills: Proficiency in electronic clinical documentation and scheduling systems is required.
• Language Skills: Fluency in both English and Spanish is preferred.
• Driving Requirements: Valid driver’s license and proof of auto insurance meeting or exceeding minimum state requirements.
