Referral Operations Specialist - Energetic Workplace

Overview
As part of the Operations team at Free Market Health, the Referral Operations Specialist works with the Director of Operations, and other techs to ensure all incoming, in-scope authorizations received from clients are processed accurately and efficiently. As part of a growing team in a fast-paced, start-up environment, this position will execute operational practices that deliver against key objectives that meet the needs of our internal and external stakeholders. Operational excellence will ensure both internal and external stakeholders’ expectations are exceeded, and over time will support the company’s efforts to drive growth through renewals and expansion.

Specifics

The specific responsibilities for this role include, but are not limited to:

•  Ensure all specialty medication referrals are routed appropriately according to established SOPs.
•  Research all marketplace referrals with route exceptions.
• Responsible for timely case resolution of Jira tickets related to patient referrals.
• Identify deficiencies in routing logic resulting in route exceptions, so that solutions can be engineered.
•  Work within all applications needed to perform job duties.
•  Other responsibilities as judgment or necessity dictate.
• This position may occasionally be required to travel domestically.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent GED. 
• 1 year of work experience.
•  Good verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate in a diplomatic and confidential manner.
• Demonstrated operational excellence in analytical thinking, process development and improvement, problem-solving, communication, delegation, and planning.
• Attention to detail.
•  Ability to understand and follow instructions, and work independently and efficiently.
•  Proficient computer skills with the ability to learn proprietary company software.
• Pharmacy technician preferred.
