Job Overview:

North Slope Chillers is seeking a Chiller Mechanical Assembly Technician. This position is key to providing on-time assembly for our chiller product line. This position is for someone who has HVAC, refrigeration, or chiller equipment mechanical aptitude and would like to get started in a career with a company that will allow you to grow in your craft.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

·         Assemble mechanical components of industrial chillers, including piping, compressors, pumps, and heat exchangers, according to blueprint, technical diagrams, and work instructions.

·         Ensure proper alignment, fitting, and sealing of parts to meet quality and safety standards.

·         Perform testing and troubleshooting of assembled chillers to identify and resolve issues.

·         Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to workplace safety protocols and procedures. 

·         Document work completed by work order entry and provide feedback to supervisors on production challenges or bottlenecks.

Qualifications:

·         Proficiency in using tools such as wrenches, drills, torque wrenches, and other assembly equipment

·         Ability to read and follow instructions.

·         Work center organizational skills in supporting site improvement initiatives 

·         Highly motivated, self-starter, capable of working independently and in a team setting.

·         Basic computer skills

·         Strong problem-solving skills.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand for extended periods of time


• Ability to lift to 50 pounds


• Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment

Education & Experience

·         High school diploma or equivalent

·         Certifications: HVAC or refrigeration certification is a plus but not required.

·         2+ years of mechanical assembly or related experience (preferably with HVAC, refrigeration, or chiller systems)

Compensation and Benefits:

• Pay: $26.00 per hour plus depending on experience


• Shift: Monday through Thursday 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM. Occasional overtime on Friday as needed.
