Job Description - Regional Account Executive, Specialty - Transplant

Only 2% of medications dispensed are specialty medications. We provide more than filling a prescription for a patient. We provide an array of services for managing chronic and often complex medical conditions requiring increased service and care. As specialty pharmacies, we work with the patient's multidisciplinary healthcare team, handle shipping coordination, assist with enrollment in patient assistance programs and financial assistance, and deliver patient education and adverse effect counseling.

As a Regional Account Executive, you will work with targeted healthcare professionals, including physicians, nurses, referral coordinators, and transplant centers.

This position has a salary range based on experience from $100,000 to $129,000, plus a commission structure.

This is a remote position for the Southern California Market.

General Functions:

The Regional Account Executive is responsible for driving the promotion and adoption of Amber Specialty Pharmacy's services within targeted healthcare professionals, spanning physicians, nurses, referral coordinators, and transplant centers. This role involves identifying growth opportunities across various healthcare settings, from small group practices to large hospitals and transplant centers. Additionally, the Regional Account Executive will lead regional initiatives, collaborate with stakeholders in the healthcare industry, navigate reimbursement systems, and position Amber Specialty Pharmacy as a top-tier service provider by capturing and sharing market feedback.

Regional Sales Manager -Transplant & Regional Sales Manager -Specialty

Primary Responsibilities:
Establish and expand the Specialty pharmacy market share in the assigned territory, focusing on key therapy types such as Neurology, Oncology, and Inflammatory diseases.
Develop strong relationships with key decision-makers in Transplant centers, with key decision makers, providing consultation and education while promoting services to healthcare professionals.
Proactively identify growth opportunities in diverse healthcare settings through various communication methods.
This is a field-based position with primary focus on face-to-face meetings. Additional customer engagement will include the use of phone, email, conferences, and other methods to win new business and strengthen and grow existing relationships and customer loyalty.
Maintain responsibility for all accounts and activities within the sales division.
Attend local and national trade shows and conferences to promote Amber Specialty Pharmacy.
Work with marketing to order supplies, develop promotional materials, and drive customer engagement.
Submit monthly expense reports and maintain a set budget for travel and expenses.
Collaborate with the Amber Specialty Pharmacy team to ensure company objectives are met.
Regularly engage with staff at local Amber Specialty Pharmacy locations within the assigned region.
Stay updated on developments in the specialty pharmacy industry and integrate them into practices.
Professionally represent Amber Specialty Pharmacy and abide by guidelines regarding client interactions.
Develop productive relationships in Transplant centers and promote services to healthcare professionals.
Develop the assigned Specialty & Transplant territory plans to achieve and exceed territory quota.
Proactively assess customer needs, validate customer satisfaction, and make recommendations for improvements.
Serve as a liaison between company staff and clients to meet account performance objectives.
Support the Transplant Sales Manager as needed, including client visits and communications.
Maintain awareness of developments and industry trends in the transplant industry.
Assist with client communication needs, including payer/plan coverage and drug shortage information.

Required Qualifications:
Minimum of five years of strong sales experience in Specialty, Transplant, or Pharmaceutical sales.
Reside in California and be available to travel efficiently throughout the state.
Experience in healthcare settings, CRM processes, market analysis, and delivering presentations.
Familiarity with the buy-and-bill model and willingness to travel at least 50% of the time.
HIPAA trained or ability to work with confidential patient and employee information.
Prior knowledge in two of the three areas: Transplant Sales, Specialty Pharmacy, Managed Care.

Educational Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in a related field.

Licensure and Certification Requirements:

Drivers License required

Physical Requirements:
Ability to travel up to 50% of the time.
Ability to stand/walk up to 8 hours a day.
Valid driver's license must be maintained.
Must be able to remain in a stationary position for extended periods.
Ability to operate office equipment and communicate effectively.
The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc., and traverse conferences, meetings, and remote events.
Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer.
The ability to communicate information and ideas so others will understand. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
The ability to analyze data, interpret results, and apply them to factual situations.

Working Conditions:

Normal office environment with travel.

Equipment Used to Perform the Job:

Computers, keyboards, mouse, monitors, fax, and/or headsets for phone work. Software specific to the position, including but not limited to Microsoft Outlook and Skype. Must lift and traverse the area to move paper and supplies to use the equipment.

Contacts:

Frequently interact with co-workers, intradepartmental staff of the Company, managers, leaders, Vendors, and customers.

Confidentiality:

Frequently interact with co-workers, intradepartmental company staff, managers, leaders, vendors, and customers. High interactions with physicians and the medical community to support the sales and perfection of the referral to fill.
