Duties and Responsibilities
Statutory Reporting Leadership: oversee and lead the process of statutory reporting, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
Statutory Consolidations Leadership: manage and lead the consolidation of statutory financial statements for the region.
Financial Audits Management: take charge of corporate financial audits, conducting them quarterly, semi-annually, and annually to ensure accuracy and compliance.
401k Program Administration: manage the administration of the company's 401k program, ensuring its smooth operation.
ERISA Audit Leadership: lead and manage the annual ERISA audit, ensuring adherence to regulatory guidelines.
Corporate Tax Filings Management: oversee and support the corporate tax filing process, ensuring timely and accurate submissions.
Payroll Reporting & Reconciliation: manage the process of payroll reporting and reconciliation to ensure accuracy and compliance.
Government Survey Reporting: oversee and manage government survey reporting, ensuring that all necessary data is provided in compliance with regulatory requirements.
Year-End Tax Provision and Return Support: provide support for year-end tax provision and return filing, ensuring accurate and timely completion.
Special Accounting Projects: undertake and complete special accounting projects as assigned, contributing to the financial well-being and compliance of the organization.
Qualifications and Work Experience
Educational Background: bachelor’s degree in accounting is a requirement for the position.
Professional Certifications: possession of a CPA license is a plus but not required.
Experience in Accounting: ideal candidates should have four (4) to six (6) years of experience in public accounting, additional corporate accounting experience a plus.
Specialized Skills and Attributes:
· Desirable qualities include multi-location experience, prior experience in manufacturing, strong communication and interpersonal skills, proficiency in Microsoft Excel, and a preference for experience with SAP.
· A continuous improvement mindset is valued, along with the ability to collaborate with senior leadership in the finance team.
· Adaptability in ambiguous situations, a drive for delivering top-notch service, and a proactive self-starter mentality are highly regarded.
· The ideal candidate is described as hands-on, with a commitment to accuracy, has the ability to function in an environment that values change and innovation, is highly motivated and a team player.
