LEM Trucking is hiring for a Class A CDL Truck Driver position in Columbia, South Carolina, offering above average regional earnings and a $6,000 sign on bonus for qualifying experienced drivers. This fleet transports golf cars throughout the Southeast and provides paid training on the specialized equipment used for deliveries.

Drivers average approximately 2,200 to 2,400 miles each week while earning between $1,750 and $2,200.

A Predictable Regional Work Cycle

Most runs begin Saturday and continue through Wednesday or Thursday morning. Drivers then return for a regular 34 hour reset before starting the next work cycle. Freight demand can occasionally affect reset days, but the operation is structured around weekly home time.

A Class A CDL Truck Driver primarily delivers to golf courses, dealerships, and customer locations throughout the Southeast. Backhaul freight returning toward Columbia helps keep the truck productive between delivery cycles.

Specialized Freight and Equipment

This is a hands on driving position rather than a traditional no touch account. Each Class A CDL Truck Driver is responsible for loading and unloading golf cars during deliveries.

The fleet uses open top golf car trailers, enclosed Kentucky style trailers, and 53 foot dry vans equipped with electric decking systems and belly boxes. Paid training covers the proper operation of each trailer configuration before drivers handle deliveries independently.

Optional Canada runs may be available for qualified drivers seeking additional mileage.

Class A CDL Truck Driver Requirements

Applicants must have a valid Class A CDL and at least 12 months of verifiable tractor trailer driving experience. Candidates must satisfy applicable DOT, company safety, background, and drug screening requirements.
