Job Description – Regional Controller

General Description

The Regional Controller will be responsible for the execution and coordination of finance and accounting activities for the region; They will serve as the primary point of contact for functional leadership within the region and across QISG’s other business departments, as well as Quanta’s corporate leadership in the Houston, TX office. This position will report directly to the CFO.

Duties

· Overall financial and accounting responsibility for regional financial operations, including management of revenue recognition using percentage of completion accounting and analysis of regional resource pool costs and other regional overheads

· Monthly financial reporting and analysis, including project reviews and assistance in preparation of QISG consolidated deliverables

· Financial responsibility for annual budget/plan and monthly forecasting

· Interaction with and support of Regional President and Vice President from a financial standpoint

· Assistance with evaluation of contract commercial/financial terms for project bids

· Coordination of project setup and closeout activities

· Primary contact for external auditors and corporate reporting group for projects in region

· Special projects as required for projects within the region

· Adheres to internal standards, policies, and procedures

Required Experience and Education

· BBA or BS in Accounting or requisite experience required

· CPA certification preferred

· Master’s degree in business administration or professional accounting preferred

· Advanced proficiency with Microsoft products

Skills

· Knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles including generally accepted accounting principles and percentage of completion accounting

· Knowledge of financial and accounting reporting systems

· Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements and projections

· Ability to produce quality deliverables within tight timeframes and simultaneously manage various projects
