Job Description - Regional, Culture, and Language PDP Subject Matter Expert (SME) and Facilitator


REGIONAL, CULTURE, AND LANGUAGE PDP SME AND FACILITATOR
Location: Honolulu, Hawaii | Type: Full-Time | Clearance: TS/SCI – CI Poly Preferred


Overview
DarkStar Intelligence is seeking a Regional, Culture, and Language PDP Subject Matter Expert (SME) and Facilitator to support intelligence education and training efforts in Honolulu, Hawaii. This role will deliver instruction aligned with DIA, COE, and Joint Staff Joint Training Standards across regional, cultural, and language-related disciplines to enhance the operational understanding of the Indo-Pacific Command (INDOPACOM) Area of Responsibility (AoR). The position operates in an on-site, SCIF-based environment. U.S. citizenship is required.


Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, develop, coordinate, implement, and instruct courses on regional expertise, cross-cultural understanding, and language support for intelligence operations
  • Provide instruction on social-cultural dynamics, area studies, cross-cultural engagement, and in-country/deployment onboarding
  • Integrate foreign language translation and interpretation content as applicable to mission areas
  • Leverage government, non-government, academic, and allied partner expertise to enhance intelligence training
  • Educate personnel on the "four pillars" (culture, governance, economy, and security) within targeted geographic areas of the INDOPACOM AoR
  • Ensure course content is current, operationally relevant, and aligned with national security objectives and analytic requirements
Minimum Qualifications
  • Active TS/SCI security clearance
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 10 years of DoD or military experience in regional, cultural, or language-focused intelligence support
  • Trained and certified instructor with demonstrated instructional experience
Desired Qualifications
  • 15 or more years of DoD or military experience in regional, culture, and language-related tasks, including operational or strategic assignments within the INDOPACOM AoR
  • Certified curriculum developer and DIA instructor
  • Experience collaborating across interagency, academic, and allied networks for cultural and regional subject matter delivery
  • Familiarity with language instruction, cultural immersion, or cross-cultural operational planning
Compensation & Benefits
