Job Description - Regional Director of Therapy

Description

REGIONAL DIRECTOR OF THERAPY POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Orthopedic Centers of Colorado Regional Director of Therapy supervises the Occupational and Physical Therapy staff of all therapy locations. The Director is responsible for overall supervision, coordination, and administration of satellite activities. The Director is expected to follow OCC’s philosophy in administering department services and fulfilling patient needs.

REGIONAL DIRECTOR OF THERAPY ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Oversee and manage the operations of therapy services within the assigned region, including clinic operations, staffing, and scheduling. 
  • Champion clinical excellence by monitoring patient outcomes, treatment protocols, and documentation quality.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, licensing, and accreditation requirements, and monitor quality metrics.   
  • Acts as a liaison between Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, Administration, Clinical Staff
  • Works with OCC leadership to develop short- and long-range plans and goals aimed at providing quality patient care that answers the needs of the community
  • Oversees the daily workflow of the clinics
  • Works with the finance department to develop yearly budgets and effective controls on expenditure 
  • Plans staffing based on projected income and operating expenses
  • Mentor, coach, and develop therapy staff, including hiring, training, and performance management.  
  • Works with the MSO leadership team to review patient fee structures and makes necessary adjustments
  • Works to establish safety protocols for the facility and to comply with government health and safety regulations
  • Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive
  • Provides opportunity for training, development, and professional growth of staff
  • Evaluates professional and non-professional services supplied by the clinics
  • Coordinates Rehabilitation Services with other OCC disciplines
  • Provides direct care to patients of all ages, as needed
  • Is responsible for remaining current in Rehabilitation trends and new developments 
  • Prepares quarterly Quality Assurance Reports and reports findings to QA Committee
  • Facilitate OCC Physician to OCC Therapist meetings and continuing education
  • Disseminate billing and treatment updates teams in order to optimize KPI’s. 
  • All other duties as assigned.

REGIONAL DIRECTOR OF THERAPY PAY & BENEFITS:

  • The pay range for this position is $100,000 - $130,000 annualized.

Requirements

REGIONAL DIRECTOR OF THERAPY REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

  • Relevant advanced degree in therapy
  • Must be currently licensed in Occupational Therapy or Physical Therapy 
  • Must have three to five years of clinical experience with at least two years of supervisory experience
  • Experience with EMR
  • Knowledge of management practices
  • Knowledge of employee management
  • Thorough understanding of health and safety laws
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated organizational ability and financial expertise

REGIONAL DIRECTOR OF THERAPY WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Typical clinical office and exam/procedure room environment
  • Possible exposure to communicable diseases and other conditions common to clinical settings
  • Frequent standing, typing, moussing, and reading paper and electronic documents
  • Ability to file and track documents and data, both in written and electronic form
  • Able to frequently stoop, lift carry and push/pull 15 pounds and occasionally up to 30 pounds
