Job Summary


The Regional Director is accountable for full regional business performance, strategy, and growth across a multi-site pharmacy network. This role leads a team of regional Pharmacy Managers and site leaders, driving financial outcomes, operational excellence, and strategic expansion across the region.
The Regional Director owns mid-to long-term regional strategy (quarterly to multi-year), including market development, capacity planning, capital investment prioritization, and performance optimization. The role operates as the senior leader for the region, translating enterprise strategy into local execution while influencing corporate decisions through deep market and operational insight.
As a key member of the broader operations leadership team, this role partners with Sales, Manufacturing, Finance, and Executive Leadership to drive enterprise growth, margin expansion, and customer outcomes, while building organizational capability and leadership depth across the region.


Key Accountabilities



  • Own full regional P&L,including revenue growth, margin expansion, cost structure, and capital deployment across all assigned pharmacy sites

  • Define and execute regional growth strategy, including market expansion, new site development, capacity optimization, and customer segment prioritization aligned with enterprise objectives

  • Partner closely with Pharmacy Managers, Sales, Finance, Operations, Supply Chain, and other functions to identify and execute opportunities to improve margin, throughput, and productivity Hold Pharmacy Managersaccountable for achievingfinancial, operational, and quality
    outcomes, establishing clear performance expectations and driving accountability through a structured operating cadencewhile providing strategic direction, performance oversight, and escalation support

  • Ensure consistent execution of operational standards, workflows, and best practices across the region Use data and performance metrics to identify trends, address gaps, and drive corrective actions Build strong cross-functional relationships to proactively solve issues, remove barriers, and support sustainable regional growth

  • Develop and lead a high-performing leadership bench across the region, ensuring strong succession pipelines and scalable leadership capability

  • Serve as a key contributor to enterprise operations strategy, providing input into network design, operating model evolution, and long-term growth planning

  • Influence and prioritize capital investment decisions across the region, including facility upgrades, equipment, and expansion initiatives to support growth and efficiency


Work Requirements & Compliance



  • Accountable for regional compliance performance, ensuring all sites meet GMP, radiation safety, licensing, and regulatory requirements, with strong audit outcomes and inspection readiness

  • Hold leaders accountable for adhering to company policies, SOPs, and operational controls, ensuring consistent execution across the region Oversee regional risk management and compliance strategy, ensuring proactive identification, mitigation, and escalation of regulatory risks

  • Partner cross-functionally with Pharmacy, Quality, Compliance, Safety, and Operations to resolve compliance issues and prevent recurrence Ensure required training, certifications, and documentation are completed accurately and on time across all sites

  • Maintain readiness for internal audits, state inspections, and external reviews, providing oversight and follow-through to ensure successful outcomes


Education and Experience:



  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred (business, healthcare, operations or related field)

  • 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in healthcare, pharmacy operations, manufacturing, or similarly regulated environments

  • Proven experience leading multi-site or regional operations with full P&L accountability

  • Demonstrated success driving business growth, margin expansion, and operational transformation across distributed teams

  • Demonstrated ability to partner cross-functionally (e.g., Pharmacy, Operations, Finance, Quality, Compliance) to drive results

  • Strong working knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements in a highly regulated setting

  • Experience developing leaders and building internal and external talent pipelines
