 Join Momentum’s team as a Regional Group Coordinator!

We're looking for an organized, outgoing leader to help grow our group and party programs across Utah. If you’re passionate about climbing, community outreach, and creating amazing participant experiences, we want to hear from you.

Regional Group Coordinator (RGC) – Utah Region

The Regional Group Coordinator (RGC) plays a critical role in supporting Youth Program Managers (YPMs) and General Managers (GMs) to ensure the smooth and successful operation of Birthday Parties and Group Events across the Utah region. This position focuses on delivering outstanding participant experiences through effective coordination of daily logistics, proactive communication with families and staff, and seamless scheduling of events, supplies, and personnel.

In addition to logistical coordination, the RGC is responsible for increasing awareness and engagement for Birthday Parties and Group Events. This includes grassroots marketing efforts such as tabling at community events, distributing flyers across the valley, and building relationships with local schools, organizations, and businesses.

The RGC oversees Birthday Parties at Momentum Millcreek, Fort Union, and Sandy, and oversees Group Events at Momentum Millcreek, Fort Union, Sandy, and Lehi.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Leadership

  • Lead by example by modeling Momentum’s Coach’s Code of Conduct and adhering to company policies.
  • Promote a positive workplace culture by supporting team members, expressing gratitude, and fostering open communication.
  • Provide constructive feedback to program staff based on observations of their performance.
  • Address customer service inquiries and resolve Birthday Party and Group issues.
  • Report regularly to YPMs and GMs on progress, results, and challenges related to tasks and projects.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement and collaborate with the YPMs and GMs to develop and implement solutions.
  • Build and maintain channels of communication to ensure all Party and Group events, activities, and updates are communicated appropriately to OPS staff and department managers.

Birthday Party and Group Responsibilities

  • Solicit resumes, interview, hire, and oversee onboarding and training of all new Birthday Party and Group staff.
  • Oversee logistics such as scheduling, shift coverage, and communication with parents and staff.
  • Ensure that all events across Millcreek, Fort Union, Sandy, and Lehi are properly staffed, stepping in personally to facilitate events when coverage gaps arise.
  • Maintain availability to work evenings and weekends as needed.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for all Party and Group-related matters in the Utah region.
  • Resolve customer concerns promptly and professionally, maintaining a high standard of service.
  • Oversee booking schedules to meet customer expectations while supporting operational efficiency.

Customer Service and Community Outreach

  • Engage and build personal connections with participants, parents, and gym patrons.
  • Assist with marketing campaigns and membership acquisition/retention programs.
  • Represent Momentum at tabling events, school visits, and other outreach opportunities.
  • Build relationships with local schools, community groups, and organizations to promote Momentum programs.

Risk Management

  • Ensure all program staff follow Momentum’s policies and standards for working with children.
  • Address safety concerns with employees and participants as they arise.
  • Process and report all incidents according to company policy.
  • Actively monitor activities to identify and mitigate risks.

Administrative Duties

  • Oversee RGP Calendar Offerings for Birthday Parties and Groups.
  • Oversee program schedules to ensure proper staffing coverage.
  • Review and approve timecards for accuracy each pay period.
  • Respond to parent and customer inquiries regarding parties and group events.
  • Coordinate with the front desk to ensure accurate bookings and payment processing.

Requirements

 Experience, Skills, and Certifications

  • At least 2 years of climbing experience with a strong enthusiasm for climbing.
  • Experience in teaching, coaching, or facilitating group activities.
  • Experience with grassroots marketing or community outreach preferred.
  • Comfortable promoting programs through tabling, flyer distribution, and networking with local organizations.
  • Excellent time management, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in GSuite; familiarity with RGP is a plus.
  • Ability to empathize with and communicate effectively with children, parents, and staff.

Environmental and Physical Demands

  • Able to work in a loud, high-energy environment on a regular basis.
  • Comfortable speaking in front of and providing instruction to large groups.
  • Comfortable working at height and moving up and down a climbing wall.
  • Must be able to climb confidently and safely to heights to perform rescues.
  • Able to stand, walk, and work on unstable and uneven surfaces for long periods.
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs on a regular basis.

Hours and Availability

  • Part-time, averaging 20–25 hours per week. Weekend availability is required to support Birthday Parties and Groups.
  • As this is a new and evolving position, there is potential for the role to grow into a full-time opportunity as demand increases and responsibilities expand.
  • Must be available to work with groups and parties when coverage is needed.
