Job Description - Regional Manager

As a Regional Manager, you will serve as the operational leader for multiple retail dispensary locations, driving sales performance, employee engagement, compliance, and customer satisfaction. About the Role


The Regional Manager is responsible for overseeing the performance and operations of multiple dispensary locations within an assigned market. This position provides leadership and support to General Managers, Assistant General Managers, and store leadership teams while ensuring consistency in execution, compliance, staffing, customer experience, and financial performance.


The ideal candidate understands how to balance business objectives with employee development, creating a culture of accountability, engagement, and operational excellence.


This position requires frequent travel between store locations and regular collaboration with company leadership, Human Resources, Marketing, Inventory, Training, Compliance, and Operations teams.


Key Responsibilities


Leadership & Team Development




  • Lead, coach, and develop General Managers and store leadership teams.




  • Conduct regular store visits to evaluate performance and provide real-time coaching.




  • Build succession plans and identify future leaders within the organization.




  • Support recruiting, interviewing, hiring, onboarding, and retention initiatives.




  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and performance-driven culture.




  • Conduct performance reviews and support employee development planning.




Retail Operations




  • Ensure all locations operate efficiently and consistently according to company standards.




  • Monitor daily store operations, staffing levels, and customer service execution.




  • Identify operational challenges and implement corrective action plans.




  • Support new store openings, remodels, and operational transitions.




  • Ensure stores maintain high standards for cleanliness, organization, and presentation.




Sales & Financial Performance




  • Drive sales growth and profitability across assigned locations.




  • Monitor key performance indicators including sales, average order value, labor efficiency, transaction volume, and preferred brand sales.




  • Analyze store performance data and develop action plans to improve results.




  • Manage labor budgets and scheduling efficiency.




  • Hold store leadership accountable for achieving established goals and objectives.




Compliance & Risk Management




  • Ensure compliance with all state cannabis regulations, company policies, and operational procedures.




  • Monitor inventory accuracy, cash handling procedures, and security requirements.




  • Partner with Compliance and Inventory teams to address discrepancies and operational concerns.




  • Assist with audits, inspections, and regulatory inquiries as needed.




  • Promote a culture of accountability and operational integrity.




Customer Experience




  • Champion exceptional customer service standards across all locations.




  • Monitor customer feedback and identify opportunities for improvement.




  • Support training initiatives that enhance the guest experience.




  • Ensure stores consistently deliver a welcoming, educational, and professional environment.




Communication & Collaboration




  • Serve as the primary link between corporate leadership and store operations.




  • Communicate company initiatives, expectations, and operational updates effectively.




  • Collaborate with Human Resources, Marketing, Inventory, Compliance, and Training teams to support company objectives.




  • Participate in leadership meetings and strategic planning discussions.




Qualifications


Required




  • Minimum 3 years of multi-unit retail management experience.




  • Proven experience leading managers and developing high-performing teams.




  • Strong understanding of retail operations, staffing, scheduling, and performance management.




  • Experience managing budgets, labor costs, and operational metrics.




  • Excellent communication, coaching, and leadership skills.




  • Ability to travel regularly between assigned locations.




  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.




Preferred




  • Cannabis industry experience.




  • Experience managing multiple dispensary locations.




  • Experience with regulatory compliance and inventory controls.




  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Management, or related field.
