Job Description - Regional Operator - Columbia NW, SC

Position Overview

The Regional Operator leads and develops leaders to provide consistently excellent speed, quality and service resulting in a healthy business and a moment of special for each customer.

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years with Dutch Bros, including at least 1 year as a Dutch Bros Shop Manager

  • No disciplinary action for the past 90 days, required

    • Disciplinary action is defined as a coaching conversation resulting in the completion of formal documentation with signatures

  • Business Coach Endorsement

  • Dutch Bros Franchisee or Operator Endorsement

  • Completion and passing of standard background check and MVR required, if applicable

  • This position requires driving, when necessary and must have a valid driver’s license

  • Available to work a flexible, ever-changing schedule that may include early mornings, evenings, and weekends.

Key Result Areas (KRA)

Inspire the core values and mission of Dutch Bros within their operation:

  • Prepare, develop, and hold shop leadership accountable to Dutch Bros core values

  • Model and meet all expectations of all positions under supervision

  • Responsible for onboarding new hires and for training shop leaders to meet system standards using the DB training programs

  • Be a good teammate and role model

  • Lead mandatory meetings

  • Know your resources, and adhere to all company policies and procedures as laid out in the Operator Field Guide, Operator Ops Manual, and Employee Handbook

  • Be accountable for, but empower the Regional Shop Managers to execute all coaching and documentation for positions under supervision

 

Improve the unit-level experience - Inspire, teach, and implement company-wide initiatives and operational excellence opportunities:

  • Ensure shops are meeting all system standards and are consistently prepared to serve customers

  • Ensure all shops are operating within healthy business parameters as outlined by management

  • Identify and remedy problems deserving attention; look for opportunities to optimize operations, finances, and culture. Special focus on the consistency of the leadership across all shops (i.e. consistency of leadership and development, problem-solving, and execution)

  • Be responsible for maintaining healthy community relationships

  • Communicate with Coach, HQ and, third-party service providers as needed

Physical Requirements

  • Constant standing/walking, up to 10 hours at a time

  • Occasional stooping, kneeling, or crawling

  • Occasional pushing, pulling, lifting, or carrying up to 65 lbs

  • Possible exposure to extreme heat and/or cold temperatures

  • Occasional ascending or descending on ladders and ramps

  • Frequent, continual, intermittent flexing, or rotation of the wrist(s) and spine

  • Constantly receiving detailed information through oral communication

  • Constant clarity of vision at near and/or far distances

  • Constant cash handling requiring mental math

  • Constant talking, expressing, or exchanging ideas by means of verbal communication
