We are seeking a seasoned and dynamic Regional Procurement Lead to oversee and drive procurement efforts across multiple data center development projects for one of the world’s leading technology clients. This is a client-facing leadership role that demands exceptional interpersonal, communication, and strategic management skills, as well as a deep understanding of data center construction and operations. 


You will serve as a key advisor to senior client stakeholders and internal teams, providing leadership across procurement strategy, risk management, vendor engagement, and contract execution. This role requires an experienced professional with a track record of successfully managing complex, large-scale capital projects across multiple regions and disciplines. 


In addition to procurement execution, the role involves mentoring team members, cultivating long-term client relationships, and leading strategic initiatives, including new business pursuits, proposal development, and contract negotiations.

RESPONSIBILITIES 



  • Leverage expertise in modern project management methodologies within complex, multi-functional organizations, with a solid understanding of engineering, design, procurement and contracting, safety, construction, and commissioning. 

  • Establish and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring effective communication with both technical and executive-level stakeholders. 

  • Oversee and manage assigned scopes of work from initiation to closeout, ensuring timely, efficient, and high-quality execution across all procurement-related activities. 

  • Supervise the preparation of PowerPoint presentations and deliver updates to senior management on progress, key findings, and strategic recommendations. 

  • Review and assess project plans, requirements, and specifications to ensure procurement alignment with overall project goals. 

  • Lead the preparation of Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and manage contractor selection and contract award processes in coordination with internal teams. 

  • Collaborate with contractors to validate and approve CPM baseline schedules, ensuring procurement timelines align with project milestones. 

  • Direct resource analysis efforts to identify potential bottlenecks, resource gaps, or supply chain constraints across projects. 

  • Identify and evaluate project risks, gaps, and opportunities; provide strategic recommendations to mitigate risks and capitalize on opportunities. 

  • Facilitate, chair, and document project meetings (including Owner-Architect-Contractor [OAC] meetings), ensuring clear action tracking and accountability. 

  • Review and validate project progress reports, contractor pay applications, and invoices to ensure accuracy and compliance with contractual terms. 

  • Oversee financial and technical evaluations of procurement and project delivery options; lead feasibility studies, site surveys, and coordinate with designers, engineers, superintendents, and construction managers as needed. 

  • Support and contribute to business development initiatives by assisting with strategy development, positioning, proposal preparation, and contract negotiations. 

  • Perform other related duties as required and assigned. 


 


QUALIFICATIONS 


Required qualifications: 



  • 18+ years of procurement experience in the construction field 

  • Bachelor’s degree in construction, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, project management, or related technical fields 

  • An excellent understanding of construction, mechanical, and electrical systems 

  • Strong knowledge of pre-design and pre-construction, contract management, project delivery methods, building systems/components, and technology 

  • Prior experience in hyperscale data center development and construction 

  • Experience developing various types of reports, targeting different audiences 

  • Experience in client-facing positions 

  • Demonstrated ability to understand technical and complicated construction programs and the ability to communicate progress to both technical and management-level personnel 

  • Strong communication skills, including the ability to communicate with any audience clearly and accurately 

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs 


 


Preferred qualifications: 



  • Master's in Construction Management 

  • Earned Value Management experience 

  • Active membership in PMI, CCMA, or similar associations 

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification 

  • Certified Construction Manager (CCM) certification

  • Position Classification: Salary-based full-time regular hours
