Job Description - Regional Product Specialist

The Regional Product Specialist is responsible for developing and managing sales opportunities for McGinley Orthopedics products within an assigned territory while representing the company with the highest level of professionalism and integrity.



Territory.


The primary sales territory includes Arizona, Colorado, Wyoming, South Dakota, and       Nebraska. These territories are not exclusive and may be expanded, reduced, or modified by the Company as business needs require. Sales territories may overlap with those of other         Product Specialists. Ownership of customer accounts will be determined and maintained by the Company, and account assignments shall be clearly documented.



Primary Responsibilities.


The Employee shall be responsible for, but not limited to, the following duties:



  • Identify, develop, and secure new customer accounts, including hospitals, ambulatory surgery centers (ASCs), physician practices, group purchasing organizations, distributors, and other healthcare facilities.

  • Maintain and grow existing customer relationships while identifying opportunities to increase product utilization and market penetration.

  • Document and maintain accurate records in Hubspot.

  • Represent and promote all McGinley Orthopedics products, including but not limited to the IntelliSense® Drill, Lever Action Plate System®, Freedom Nail System, and future products introduced by the Company.

  • Conduct product demonstrations, educational presentations, cadaver labs, workshops, and in-service training for surgeons, operating room staff, administrators, and purchasing personnel.

  • Provide operating room support and clinical case coverage when requested, including assistance with product preparation, instrumentation, and technical guidance consistent with Company policies and applicable regulations.

  • Develop and execute strategic territory business plans designed to achieve sales objectives and expand market share.

  • Build relationships with key opinion leaders, surgeons, hospital executives, supply chain personnel, and clinical staff.

  • Manage the complete sales process from prospecting through implementation, including lead generation, customer evaluations, product trials, pricing discussions, contract development, and account onboarding.

  • Coordinate with Company leadership regarding pricing proposals, purchasing agreements, distributor arrangements, and customer contracts.

  • Monitor inventory requirements for assigned accounts and coordinate ordering, replenishment, consignment inventory, and instrument management to ensure uninterrupted customer support.

  • Maintain accurate sales forecasts, customer activity records, pipeline updates, and expense reporting using the Company's designated CRM and reporting systems.

  • Attend trade shows, conferences, educational meetings, surgeon training programs, and Company-sponsored events as assigned.

  • Collaborate with marketing, clinical education, product development, regulatory, and operations teams to support product launches, customer feedback, and continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Develop a thorough understanding of competitive products, market trends, reimbursement considerations, and industry developments.

  • Respond promptly to customer inquiries and resolve service issues while maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.

  • Ensure compliance with all applicable federal and state laws, healthcare regulations, hospital credentialing requirements, Company policies, and applicable industry codes of conduct.

  • Maintain all required product knowledge and complete Company training as assigned.

  • Travel extensively throughout the assigned territory and outside the territory as necessary to support customer needs, training events, national meetings, and Company initiatives.

  • Perform other sales, business development, and customer support duties as reasonably assigned by the Company.



Performance Expectations.


The Regional Product Specialist is expected to actively grow the Company's customer base through consistent prospecting, effective account management, exceptional customer service, and professional clinical support. Success will be evaluated based on new account acquisition, revenue growth, customer retention, account development, product adoption, professionalism, compliance, and overall contribution to the Company's strategic objectives.
