Job Description - Regional Project Manager - Northeast

Eaton\u2019s ES AMER ESS division is currently seeking a Regional Project Manager - Northeast in the Northeast Region of the United States. This role offers a company car and guaranteed 40-hour paid week.\u200b\n\nThe expected annual salary range for this role is $97000 - $143000 a year. This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program.\n\nPlease note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. \n\n## What you\u2019ll do:\n\nEaton\u2019s Electrical Engineering Services \u0026 Systems (EESS) division is seeking a Regional Project Manager will be responsible for directing the execution of preventive maintenance, retrofit, startup and commissioning projects. These projects will be completed in conjunction with our District Operations Centers (DOC\u2019s), with the Project Manager overseeing planning, execution, monitoring, control, and job closure activities. \n \nESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS \u0026 DIMENSIONS \n\u2022 Oversee tasks such as scheduling, budgeting, resource allocation, and risk management to ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget and to the required quality standards. \n\u2022 Receive job handoffs and complete initial technical, scope of work, and scheduling requirement reviews. \n\u2022 Utilize necessary project management tools, software, and other resources to maintain adherence to key milestones and deliverables on site. \n\u2022 Own coordination of project meetings (internal and external) and formal communication plans to key project stakeholders. \n\u2022 Determine mechanisms required for successful job closeout (punch lists / issue resolution, internal warranty, transition to owner or other entity). \n\u2022 Serve as primary point of contact throughout duration of EESS activities on site. \n\u2022 Collaborate with DOC team to communicate any safety program initiatives, concerns, or oversights to customer, contractor, and subcontractor stakeholders. \n\u2022 Provide financial oversight through cost control, warranty, change order management, and risk mitigation. \n\u2022 Work closely with commercial operations teams, including North American Sales (NAS) Project Management Organization, sales engineers, and EESS Technical Application Support (TAS) organization to reconcile client expectations with order commitments, change orders, and timelines. \n\u2022 Join forces with local Service Sales Specialist, DOC Manager and Regional Director (if support across DOCs) to review pipeline and identify orders that will require project management.\n\n## Qualifications:\n\nBasic Qualifications: \n\u2022 Bachelor\u2019s degree from an accredited institution \n\u2022 Minimum 5 years of experience leading and/or managing electrical, construction, or industrial projects; or 5 years\u2019 experience as a project manager services, sales, or manufacturing of electrical distribution products. \n\u2022 Possess and maintain a valid and unrestricted driver\u2019s license. \n\u2022 Legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship. \n \nPreferred Qualifications: \n\u2022 PMP or Commissioning Agent Certification \n\u2022 7-10 electrical field services experience \n\u2022 5+ years managing electrical construction or commissioning projects as project manager or construction manager. \n\u2022 Proficiency in project management and construction industry software packages\n\n## Skills:\n\nPOSITION CRITERIA: \n\u2022 Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to provide daily updates to involved parties keeping them well-informed and synchronized. \n\u2022 Able to work effectively in a distributed workforce and at customer job sites. \n\u2022 Broad understanding of project management methodologies \n\u2022 Strong analytical skills, computer, and organizational skills \n\u2022 Basic understanding of product applications and customer needs \n\u2022 Must be able to lead and manage upwards and downwards. \n\u2022 Manages pressures well. \n\u2022 Able to influence without authority and work collaboratively with internal and external businesses and stakeholders. \n\u2022 Submit to periodic customer required background and drug screenings. \n\u2022 Technical skills required to understand legal documents and technical drawings. \n\u2022 Analytical skills to identify cost-effective and timely solutions.\n\n## Additional Information:\n\nTravel requirements: approximately 75%; with preference for staffing within home region. \nNo relocation benefit provided for this position. Only candidates that reside within 100 miles of the local district will be considered.
