Job Description - Regional Representative

Doyle has built a reputation for achieving outstanding prices at auction, and our focus on individual attention to our clients remains paramount. 



About the Position: 


Doyle Auctioneers & Appraisers in Washington, DC is seeking an experienced Regional Representative to oversee the busy Mid-Atlantic regional office. In this client-facing position, the ideal candidate is a seasoned business getter who is organized, outgoing, detail-oriented and self-motivated, with polished presentation skills, and has work experience in the Fine Art/Auction field.



Responsibilities:



  • Address inquires and prepare proposals for clients interested in Doyle’s services, including consignment, appraisal, purchase or private sale

  • Plan and coordinate appraisal days, and coordinate specialist visits

  • Develop professional ties and foster relationships with trust and estate professionals, fiduciaries, banks, real estate firms, etc. through presentations, outreach and membership

  • Maintain gallery space, greeting and engaging with clients in a gallery setting, organizing exhibitions and events in the gallery

  • Attend regional conferences, events and trade shows, with occasional evening, weekend events

  • Manage consignment paperwork, track inventory, handle all aspects of shipping and receiving of regional or tour property

  • Build and maintain client lists

  • Assist with phone bidding


Requirements:



  • Legally authorized to work in the United States

  • BA or equivalent

  • Excellent written, verbal, presentation and social skills

  • Superior organizational and time management skills

  • Fine Art and/or Auction Experience

  • Proficiency in computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite

  • Flexibility to work some evenings/weekends
