Job Description - Regional Sales Manager

REGIONAL SALES MANAGER

Healthcare Technology Solutions | Mid-Atlantic Territory

Territory: Eastern Pennsylvania, Maryland & Delaware  |  Compensation: $120K base; $200K+ at plan  |  Travel: Regular regional travel

The Opportunity

A growing healthcare technology organization is seeking a Regional Sales Manager to develop and expand business across a high-potential Mid-Atlantic territory. This is an individual-contributor role for a driven sales professional who can open new accounts, grow strategic relationships, and manage complex opportunities across hospitals and health systems.

The ideal candidate is equally comfortable generating activity at the ground level and navigating executive-level conversations. You will own the full sales process—from prospecting and discovery through solution presentation, proposal development, negotiation, and close—while building a disciplined territory plan that supports both near-term revenue and long-term growth.

Territory

•    Primary coverage includes Eastern Pennsylvania, Maryland, and Delaware.

•    New Jersey may be added to the final territory scope.

•    Candidates should be centrally located with reasonable access to major healthcare markets throughout the region.

•    Regular travel within the territory is required.

What You’ll Do

•    Build and execute a strategic territory plan focused on new-account acquisition, pipeline development, and sustainable revenue growth.

•    Prospect into hospitals, health systems, and other healthcare facilities to identify clinical, operational, technical, and financial needs.

•    Manage the complete sales cycle, including outreach, discovery, presentations, demonstrations, proposals, negotiation, and closing.

•    Develop relationships across multiple stakeholder groups, including IT, biomedical and clinical engineering, nursing leadership, purchasing, supply chain, facilities, and hospital executives.

•    Balance transactional opportunities with larger, complex, systemwide sales requiring longer cycles and multiple decision-makers.

•    Identify and advance high-value opportunities while expanding share within existing customer accounts.

•    Communicate the clinical, operational, workflow, and financial value of technically oriented healthcare solutions.

•    Maintain accurate forecasts, opportunity plans, and pipeline activity while consistently meeting or exceeding performance goals.

•    Partner cross-functionally with internal sales, operations, product, and leadership teams to move opportunities forward and support customer success.

What We’re Looking For

•    Bachelor’s degree required.

•    Demonstrated success in medical device, healthcare technology, capital equipment, or another complex B2B sales environment.

•    Proven experience managing a geographic territory as an individual contributor.

•    Strong record of generating new business while growing existing accounts.

•    Experience selling into hospitals, health systems, integrated delivery networks, or other complex healthcare organizations preferred.

•    Ability to manage both shorter, transactional sales and longer, multi-stakeholder opportunities.

•    Documented sales performance, including quota attainment, rankings, awards, or other measurable results.

•    Strong prospecting, discovery, consultative-selling, presentation, negotiation, and closing skills.

•    Executive presence and the ability to communicate effectively with clinical, technical, operational, and financial stakeholders.

•    Highly organized, self-directed, competitive, coachable, and comfortable operating across a broad territory.

•    Ability to quickly learn technical solutions and clearly articulate their value to customers.

Compensation & Benefits

•    $120,000 base salary.

•    Uncapped incentive compensation with expected total earnings of approximately $200,000–$208,000 at plan.

•    Additional upside tied to large strategic wins and above-quota performance.

•    Six-month compensation guarantee.

•    401(k) plan with 4% company match.

•    Mileage reimbursement for business travel.

Additional Requirements

•    Valid driver’s license, acceptable driving record, and reliable transportation suitable for frequent regional travel.

•    Ability and willingness to transport demonstration equipment throughout the territory.

•    Ability to lift and move demonstration equipment weighing 75 pounds or more, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Why Consider This Role

This opportunity offers the autonomy to run a meaningful territory, the support of an established healthcare-focused organization, and a compensation plan designed to reward both consistent performance and major strategic wins. It is a strong fit for a true hunter who wants ownership, earning potential, and room to build.
