Regional Sales Manager

Position Responsibilities

As Regional Sales Manager, you will be responsible for developing and growing Jensen Meat Company's business within your assigned region. Your primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Developing and executing a strategic sales and account-development plan for the assigned region.
• Identifying and prioritizing prospective customers with meaningful business potential.
• Establishing and maintaining relationships with key decision-makers, buyers, distributors, operators, and other relevant customer contacts.
• Scheduling and conducting regular customer and prospect meetings, both in person and virtually.
• Developing relationships with multiple contacts within key prospective and existing customer accounts.
• Conducting product presentations, introductions, samples, tastings, and other customer-development activities.
• Maintaining consistent communication and timely follow-up with customers and prospective customers.
• Understanding customer needs and identifying opportunities to align those needs with Jensen Meat Company's products and capabilities.
• Building and maintaining a qualified pipeline of prospective business opportunities.
• Advancing prospective accounts through meaningful stages of the sales process, including product evaluations, pricing discussions, trials, and other appropriate next steps.
• Maintaining accurate and timely records of customer meetings, contacts, opportunities, forecasts, and follow-up activities.
• Monitoring market trends, customer needs, and competitive activity to identify opportunities for growth.
• Collaborating with Sales leadership, Marketing, Operations, Production, Customer Service, Quality, and Product Development to support customer opportunities.
• Representing Jensen Meat Company professionally at customer meetings, industry events, and trade shows.
• Demonstrating consistent accountability, communication, responsiveness, initiative, and follow-through.

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or a related field preferred; equivalent relevant experience may be considered.
• Minimum 5 years of B2B sales experience, preferably within food manufacturing, foodservice, retail, protein/meat, CPG, or a related industry.
• Demonstrated ability to develop new business and build long-term customer relationships.
• Experience managing a sales territory or regional market, including prospecting, account development, and pipeline management.
• Strong understanding of the full sales cycle, from prospecting and initial meetings through proposal, negotiation, and account development.
• Ability to establish and maintain a consistent pipeline of qualified prospects and business opportunities.
• Strong communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to develop relationships with key decision-makers, including buyers, distributors, brokers, and other strategic partners.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently while maintaining regular communication and accountability with Sales leadership.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills, including the ability to prioritize customer meetings, follow-ups, travel, and sales activities.
• Comfortable using CRM systems and other sales tools to document calls, meetings, opportunities, follow-up activity, and pipeline progression.
• Ability to analyze sales opportunities, customer needs, competitive activity, and market trends.
• Ability to collaborate cross-functionally with Operations, Production, Quality Assurance, Product Development, and other internal departments.
• Must maintain a valid driver’s license and be able to travel regularly throughout the assigned territory for customer meetings, trade shows, and business development activities.
• Ability to maintain professionalism and represent Jensen Meat Company appropriately when interacting with customers, prospects, vendors, and industry partners.
