The Regional Surplus Sales Lead will oversee surplus sales operations across three markets, managing eBay and wholesale sales teams to drive revenue growth, maintain account health, and optimize customer service. This role requires a strategic, data-driven leader who can identify growth opportunities, develop pricing strategies, and ensure operational excellence across multiple locations. The ideal candidate will have an entrepreneurial mindset, balancing hands-on sales execution with long-term business development.
Key Role Responsibilities
Sales & Revenue Growth: Develop and execute surplus sales strategies to achieve sales targets.
Market & Pricing Strategy: Research competitive pricing, optimize eBay listings, and expand sales channels.
KPI Management: Oversee key performance indicators (KPIs) for eBay account health, customer ratings, sales performance, and revenue targets.
Operational Excellence: Standardize and document surplus sales processes across all markets.
Customer Service & Account Management: Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction, maintain strong eBay and wholesale account ratings, and manage issue resolution.
Team Leadership & Training: Supervise and train Surplus Sales Leads in assigned markets, providing guidance on best practices and performance expectations.
Wholesale & Partnership Development: Build and maintain relationships with wholesale buyers, exploring new surplus sales avenues.
Inventory & Distribution Oversight: Ensure accurate reporting of sales and inventory, working closely with warehouse and accounting teams.
Responsible for ensuring R2 and NAID compliance across all operations, including daily documentation (itemized listing for Surplus listings), quality control management, and NAID-compliant data destruction.
Travel Requirement: Regular travel (approximately 25%) to oversee surplus operations and support on-site teams.
Daily production metric will match the amount of local in-office time
Example: RSSL works three weeks in office locally and one week is spent traveling then the RSSL’s daily production metric is 75% that of a normal schedule making their daily production metric $1,350.00 in listings posted per day

Requirements
Desired Skills/Qualifications
6+ years of e-commerce experience, preferably in surplus sales, IT hardware, or a related field.
Strong understanding of consumer and/or enterprise-level IT hardware is a plus.
Experience managing KPIs, customer service, and online account health (e.g., eBay ratings, wholesale relationships).
Proficiency in Windows-based systems, inventory management platforms, and e-commerce tools.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong self-motivation, project management, time management, and organization skills.
Demonstrated ability to lead teams, standardize processes, and execute revenue-driving initiatives.
Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required.
